Not normally a huge fan of sandbox games but there was something about the presentation and story progression of infamous that drew me in. The story is basically what you would expect from a standard comic book super-hero but I really enjoyed seeing the trials & obstacles Cole had to go through in his somewhat subconscious and even uncontrolled quest to go from "Zero to Hero/Villain." To top it all off, the twist at the end of the game actually caught me by surprise, didn't think the story would go that route. The gameplay is pretty solid, the powers you gain are fun overall and all of them have their uses, plus the variety between good and evil versions of Cole's abilites were done fairly well. The setting of the game was done well also, Empire city felt big and the blast shard's, dead drops and side missions (for territory completion) provides incentives for exploration. However the major drawback was that the some side-missions were repetitive and at times downright annoying (especially on hard mode). Overall, Infamous is a good game, not necessarily a must-BUY (due there not being much to do after you get all the trophies), but it should definitely be in a Gamefly GameQ.
